Since my '32 jalopy sedan is coming along slowly, I thought I would post another older build. It was during a time when I was experimenting with trying to get a realistic outside shot of a model. I don't think this was ever posted before.
This car represents one that might have raced around 1962 on SoCal tracks, using an OHV V-8. It was kind of a transitional period, moving away from flatheads, and right before the early modifieds and figure 8 racers came into popularity. At that point in time, the California Jalopy Association had pretty much tossed out the rule book as far as engine type, and other restrictions. It was the beginning of the end for the pure jalopy class.
