This ASA Buick Regal WIP is mocked up now. The rims and tires will be different but these give me something to work with during the build process. I've still got a little smoothing here and there, I need to raise the rear of the car a hair and also trim back the exhaust pipes just a smidgeon but it will be ready for paint soon.

That is not your daddy's Buick. Beautiful, smooth work; but then I would not expect anything less from your bench. More pictures, more details, show us what you have done.
Evil, wicked, mean, and nasty. In other words, super cool.
Man! All of the above. Great looking car!

Gonna' be one Mean looking car!!
Wait....
It already is.....

Great job on the fab work David. The front fenders and hood are really cool. That little piece of pie that you took out of the roof sure makes that puppy look mean!
I'm thinking this might be my all time favorite build of yours........drooling on the keyboard here!!!!

WOW!!
WOW This is going to be a build that I would like to do but never will because I just do not have the talent you do FANTASTIC MODEL
David, you do great fab work!
WHEW!!! That's a lot more work than I'll ever do! GREAT job!
Fantastic fab work David. You really have an eye for what and where to cut, add and fill to create a beautiful build.
It's amazing how you seem to get the stance and proportions correct on every build. I struggle with that. Sometimes I don't see the problems till after there finished, then it's too late.

Very interesting as always, David.
OK here is a list of what you need to do next.
Carefully place the model in a secure box.
Finish packing it and seal the box.
Take it to the Post Office.
Address it to me.
Send the package to me "Overnight Express" please.
When I get it I will advise and say "Thank You Very Very Much"
That model is going to be a real show stopper when you have it finished..
This is a great looking build! The mods you've made make that body look bad-ass!! When you relocate the wheel wells, what material do you use to cover the existing opening? .020 or .030 sheet styrene? Something else?
Nice work! I'm curious about the exhaust. In the first pic both sides are exiting through the body on the passenger side. In the following pics it looks like you have built some really nice headers exiting under the car. I'm curious because I want to make crossover headers for my next build.

ThirdGear- As I am want to do at times, I "changed my mind" and took out the old exhaust and ran it through the door. Solder is the exhaust builder's friend so I tend to fiddle around some when I get to that part.
I would like to see detail pics of those headers if you have them. I'm looking into making some from 14g craft wire.
All I can say is "Wow"! They don't come out that nice when I try them!

Thanks for posting those pics!
Good looking build
....Another stellar build....it goes with out saying.....waiting to see the finished piece
Man David...that red really makes that car POP..for sure. GREAT job on the paint...looking forward to seeing the #'s and sponsor on this bad boy.
Update please! More photos and descriptions of your accomplished work
That is a great looking Regal, excellent work! I'm looking forward to seeing it with the raised rear end.
I added an album to my Fotki page that showed much of the fab work and buildup on this. It was completed as a Junior Hanley build.
Thanks so much, this is such a cool build! The stance and overall appearance of this build just screams badass racecar. You are a talented builder - again, thanks for sharing with us

Great build, David. I went to your FOTKI album and saw some GREAT builds. I also went to your personal album and saw your wonderful Family pis. You wouldn't happen to be the guy with the long mustache?
