Fantastic job Mark, on both the hauler and race car. This is a replica build you can be very proud of.
Bob
Very, very nice!
Rett
WOW!!!
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love it !!!
Very nice job on all three !! 8) 8)
I love a truck, trailer, and racer. This is really a nice one. Lotsa time and work here. Good job.
Always liked Rex White.
Thanks guys. I built the car 12 years ago and when I saw the picture I always wanted to do the truck and trailer. Amt re-released the truck as a pickup this summer so I finally had my chance to do the project. Had to change the chassis to 30 series and scratch a stake bed to put on it and the trailer was completely scratched except for the wheels and tires from my spare parts box. I used plastic easter eggs to make the dualie wheels for the truck. It took a total of 159 hours to complete.
That's a beauty Mark! I was just recently envisioning building his 1962 Chevy. Was also thinking this generation of Nascar stock cars would make a great community build project. Again, Great Job!
Thanks Bob and Steven. I really appreciate the kind words.
Mark, you did a super clean, fantastic job on these two vehicles. They both look very accurate, with great attention to detail. I look forward to seeing more of your builds!
Thanks , Marty. I really appreciate the reply.
Very nice and accurate replica's Mark! I'm especially impressed by the accurate looks of the truck! Very nicely done trio!!!😁🏁
Thanks , Greg. Appreciate the reply.

Actually, Gary. It was your race team build that inspired me to try this one. That truck/ camper you built was off the charts, as well as the trailer and race car.
This is so cool.........I've had that photo on my phone for a year, got the truck and the decals, still waiting to find a 60 Chevy, maybe this weekend at a local model show. Thanks for sharing

Thanks, Mark. Your Ridley truck/ trailer/ race car, also gave me a lot of inspiration. Looking forward to your Rex White build. I heard that someone had done this build back in the day and I looked for pictures of it but had no luck. Maybe you can find some. I had just the one ref picture of it so I did a lot of guessing on mine so its probably not very accurate. But it was a fun build anyway.
Beautiful combo....just amazing!
Mark, that is some fine work! Love the old truck!
Love the whole rig, but the truck I love the most!
I can't believe I didn't reply to this one, Mark.
Just WOW !!
It is amazing. The hauler itself is perfect.
You da MAN for vintage NASCAR builds.
Incredible rig, may I ask, is the trailer a diecast? this is the first real looking trailer coupler I have ever seen on a model trailer. Did you buy it aftermarket (the coupler) or scratch build it?

Thanks 421, the trailer is completley scratch built except for the wheels and tires. Its all styrene. I used various evergreen plastic tubes, rods, strips and sheets. Ive got a wip around here somewhere, if it still exists, I'll post it here.

I found out that I put the wip at scale auto magazine forum, thinking that they would never go away, but they did ,so no more wip. It showed how I made the trailer and hitch. the hitch actually connects to the ball on the truck. Here are some wip photos without the text of my thoughts during the build.

Thank you , Gary. You gave me a lot of inspiration with your sprint car team build, with camper, trailer, and race car.
Not sure how I'm just seeing this. That's one heck of a job. One of my favorite race cars from the past.
Just flat-out great. You did a great job as usual.
That is an awesome build.
Thanks, Donato and R.J. I really appreciate the comments.
I remember you posting these awhile back. This set up is probably my favorite of all the models that you have done. Awesome work on the truck, trailer and car!👍
Thank you Catpack, I wish I knew your real name, it was a fun build to make the truck and trailer for his championship car. When I saw the pickup version available, I figured I could turn it into a stake bed truck like he actually used and luckily had one good reference picture that really helped.
