A few of you might be interested in this, so I'll share.
About the 1/25 plastic airplane I had planed to draw up and scratch build to go along with all these cars. In short - after getting into it, it became obvious that the chances of building an acceptable model compared to the degree of difficulty would not be worth the effort. I was disappointed.
I was working with a wing span of 17". While looking through
aircraft stuff that I have, I noticed that the old Guillows stick model of the Cessna L-19 Bird Dog has a 17" span. Ta da !
So, the project is still alive, if I can find a kit. Hobbytown may have one. The company itself is currently out of stock due to the Christmas season.
I am going to take a different tack.
Stirling also makes the kit with a 17" wingspan.

Thank you Marty. I will look into this. I would like to see the plan first to see the construction details. Just might buy it.
My Hobby Town did not have any Guillows kits today, although I have seen some in the past.
Marty, pm coming.
Just so y'all will know -- seems to be a shortage all around of those L-19 Bird Dog kits, among many others. Lack of balsa wood.
I did find and order a Piper Super Cub kit although it has a 24" wing span. So, the BD and hangar diorama are on hold, until if, and whenever, if ever, one becomes available.
I have not forgotten this is a model car forum, so will let you I am working on a midget.
