Title: Haudenschild #22 WiP
Post by: 18degrees on June 17, 2024, 08:25:14 PM
started this one a few days ago, just got the chassis and one wing panel done.  standard kit stuff so far, will do a few modifications as i go.  using the Slixx contingencies and kit decals which are around 30 years old and have a crap sheet that i got off ebay if anything goes wrong.  everyone says Pennzoil yellow is Tamiya chrome yellow, after i sprayed 3 coats over white primer it looks too "orange" versus the brighter yellow.  i did add a little bit of strip around the wing edges to give it a proper look and fabricated the seat back support, since the kit one still had a headrest molded in.

Looking at it on my phone, it looks fine to me. I know in person it looks different.

Chrome yellow has got some red in it, not quite like Camel yellow but not a more pure yellow either like the car should. At least to my eye.
