Title: Help with a display case
Post by: 18degrees on January 07, 2025, 01:17:04 PM
Hey y'all, for those of you following my 1/18 sprint car WiP, you know that i am working on a 1/18 winged car currently. The 2 1/18 wingless cars i finished barely fit in the Hobby Lobby mini football helmet cases i use to display 1/24 sprint cars but they work. However... i measured the winged car and it is too tall by about half an inch at the tallest part of the wing board to fit in one of these cases.

So if anyone can direct me to some sort of plastic display case of any sort that would fit these dimensions-

8.5" long
4.5" wide
6" tall

I would be eternally grateful. May end up also doing a Bryan Clauson (R.I.P) build in the near future if i can find a suitable display case, as the decals are available.

Thanks

I went to Hobby Lobby to look at display cases in the past. They have some big ones or look at Amazon. I have shopped at Michaels also.

Thanks, but not tall enough. Looking for something more "square" shaped.

Looked on Hobby Lobby online, they have some really specific cases, for example to hold a football, that may work. Just has a dip in the base to hold the curve of the football.

Ended up buying football display cases. They are a little tall but will fit the bill. Looks like i am going to build a Clauson too...
