I have started work on my next project. A replica of the #64 Red Roof Inns Monte Carlo that Willy T Ribbs drove for DiGard Racing at the 1986 Budweiser 400 at Riverside Raceway in June of that year. I started working on the body, moving the fuel filler to the right side.I still have to do a few more things to the body before getting it ready for primer and paint. The kit is the old Monogram Monte Carlo Aero Coupe. The wheels and tires are from a Salvinos Jr Buick Regal kit and the decals are LOBO Graphix. It's going to be built basically box stock with a few details added.Hopefully more progress soon

I was finally able to finish up the bodywork on the #64 Red Roof Inns Monte Carlo.I think it's ready for paint. The chassis and the other parts of it(not shown)are painted Tamiya TS-8 Italian Red and cleared.I finished up the tires with Powerslide decals and used Tamiya smoke to tone the chrome wheels a bit.More updates soon🤞
Looking good so far. Love those earlier Monogram Nascars.
Looking forward to more progress photos, Scott. Looking great so far.
It looks really good. Do you know who the car owner was? The font on the numbers reminds me of the font that Elmo Langley #64 used on his cars.
It was owned by DiGard racing

Thanks catpack, I remember Willie T's stint in NASCAR. Didn't realize that DiGard owned his cars. As they say, the more you know.
