Terry won the 1989 IROC Championship in this car. He won race number 3 at Michigan which sealed his points advantage. The picture at the bottom is a YouTube capture photo of the Michigan race he won. Thats why it's so low quality. But you get the idea of how the real car looked

Say it ain't so, well done Mark!!! After over a year this highly detailed, full of homemade parts build is complete. I can hear the low rumble of the racing engine and smell the exhaust all the way over in SE Arkansas.
What's next?
Wow. That's a stunning looking car.
Great detailing all round and love the colour.
Ta Da! Well worth the wait. A stellar job. You have to be proud of this one.
This build turned out amazing!! All of that hard work really paid off!!
Beautiful replica.
What they said. An excellent example of modeling craftsmanship. Really enjoyed watching this one come together.

Thanks, Steve. Next up is a low detail 1972 Bobby Allison Monter Carlo. As oob as I can get it. I even bought decals for it. It's a redo of a model I did 53 years ago. Not an actual redo. A new kit is involved.

Thanks, Vdc. I like the color too, but I messed up and made it too light. I did not realize that my paint recipe would change mixing a good amount of paint compared to mixing just a few drops in a painter's pallet. At that point in the build, I wasn't about to strip the paint and try again so even if it's a shade too light I'm going to have to live with it. If you look at the body early in the wip that was the color, I really wanted but who is to say that is correct either. Thanks again.

Thanks Donato. More relieved than proud but it turned out better than I thought it would. Thanks again.

Thanks Dave. This is one I wanted to do for a long time but knew how involved it might get. Thanks again.

Thanks, Rick. I appreciated your checking in during the wip and always being supportive through the journey. Helps a lot when you fixing to forget about doing it and start on another model.
There it is 8) 8)
Like Donato said, well worth the wait. That´s true.
You´ve built a very nice looking replica of Terry´s Camaro, Mark !!
The car has a very fast and dynamic look, great :)

Thanks, Michael. I always liked the look of the 3rd gen Camaro. Thats why we bought one back in 1984. I'd like to post a picture of it, but it's buried in an album of real photographs stuck somewhere that can never be found. Just picture a metallic gray 1984 Z28 with gold wheels and gold stripes along the bottom of the doors and fenders wrapping around the front and rear bumpers. We ordered it special from the chevy dealership I worked for back then.
