Title: Bobby Allison 1972 Monte Carlo info request.
Post by: MarkJ on April 21, 2025, 07:34:40 AM
Does anyone have a photo of the under hood and interior of the real Bobby Allison Coke Monte Carlo from 1972.Not from a reproduction car or museum car or somebody's model of one. Those are never correct. I would really appreciate it if you could post them. My efforts to do so have failed so far.

Is that a Junior Johnson built car or one Bobby did himself?
In one of the old Stock Car Racing magazines there was an article showing how he constructed one of his cars using a factory frame. Someone on the old Ayers forum had it on there, maybe they will see this and repost it.

Thanks JH, but I think Junior built the car. It might even be the one he built for Glotzbach in 1971 repainted and updated a little. I'm open to any help though. Real photos of this car are really hard to find.

Might be a reason pictures are hard to find, Junior didn't want people to see his "innovations"

Ha, "innovations". That a great way to put it.
