This is a little WIP I'm doing while working out of town. Inspired by the 63 Nova FB Chevy developed for road racing to compete against the cobra. The idea was scrapped before completion and the cars were given to the engine builders who decided to go drag racing with them.
This is a 66 Nova with a 70 Mustang roof/rear window grafted on. And will be heavily influenced by an 80's Corvette. With the LS, interior and rear axle. The wheel/Tires are from Pegasus.

That looks to be a wild looking build!!
Looking great!!
WOW, that's very Kool, James!!! Should make a sweet ride!!! My eyes are having trouble focusing on the chrome engine....is it a hemi???
Thanks, no Hemi it's a LS from a 90's Corvette.
Thanks, James. I guess it's time to have my eyes checked after I finish my chemo treatments. LS definitely makes more sense than a hemi in a Nova!!!🤗👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🏁

Sweet looking build you have going there
Very Kool!!!
:) Very nice, J2. If you had not told of that in advance, and I had seen it, either in model form, or on the streets, I would have known it was different, but not what it is.
Clever, indeed.
Oh YEAH!!! Looking great!!
This is a beautiful build. Body work is fantastic.

:) Looks like one that will show up one day on Barrett Jackson, or Mecum.
A really cool build with some great ideas mixed in. I too have built in hotel rooms in the past, other business associates don't understand but it's a great way to get done the road on a build. Sometimes at home I feel I need to be doing things around the house.
Hey James:
That is one sweet looking Nova! We need to see the finished product.
Jon
Kool, my son had an idea many years ago and started one with the 70 Mustang roof on a 49 Ford..... Looks pretty kool too!!!!!!
Thanks guys, I have been really busy with the move and work. I haven't taken any models with me on the road and I'm still not set up to build at home. I have managed to unpack a few things and maybe display a some builds. But for now I am sticking to the time off...
heres one that made it into drag racing its a 62 model nova

It seems John was correct, I just cant stay away. Though I'm not building anything new I did manage to replace the front clip on the Fastback Nova. I also lowered the rear end just a little for a better stance. It's going slow but it is going...

Pretty slick and definitely out of the box thinking. Looking forward to the finished product.

I had removed the horizontal rib above the fenders for a different look. Then decided I did not like it.
I've got a few things left to do then start paint...
I will be glad when I can get building again
Looks like a Rambler Marlin. Nice fit. Can't wait to see it with paint.
Olderndirt
I did something I have not done in quite some time. Finished a model!
Almost, there are a few things left to do...

That is awesome looking Nova. I'm glad to see it finishing
I'm not sure how many times I've looked at this one. But, finally decided it's very cool. That scoop is perfect for this car and the roof line really flows into the body the right way. This is on a "Foose" level of design. Very well done my man, very well done!

:) The award winning J2 rides again.
Thank you so much guys.
James that is awesome looking color on the Nova. I really like it.
Like most of your builds I've seen james this one is right up there with the others, very clean. I have a 62 vette that I put a 63 split window roof on a few years back, but after getting most of the body work done I stuffed it back in the box. This car makes me want to get it back out now. Will you be able to make it to the Columbus show this march?

I'm not sure about the show do you have any info on it?
James, the Columbus show is Saturday March 17 this year. If you need any other info let me know or they have the flyer on Facebook. Let me know if you can make it so I can look you up.
Looking good, the roof looks great...........I used to do the hotel deal years ago before they barred us from caring all the liquids on the plane
I'm done with the hotel life for now. I took some time off and was able to find something much more suitable. Like being home most every night!
I'll try to make the show and let you know if we do...
:) Congrats, J2, on getting off the road.
