Finished some modifieds. These had been sitting on the end of my table in various states of assembly for a long time. The Vega was a real pain, the body was warped and I had to do some creative work underneath with a soldering gun to get it halfway straight. The 1,4,75, and 77 are done as tributes to current Bowman Gray cars. They look a little rough but I'm happy with them.

Good looking modifieds. Are the #1 & 4 tributes to the Myers boys? My eye doctor started racing the Stadium this year in a modified; he still has a pretty stiff learning curve.
Coooool looking modifieds!!!
All are good looking models but I dig the Vega!
ALL of them are waaaaay Kool Gary! To me..none of them look rough. Back then.... a lot of them looked just like you built them ...especially after the the second race....Love the Supers and the Modifieds.
:) I am only seeing the noses of them. ??? Great noses.
Hey John...you have to go to the last picture and you'll see a bar at the bottom of it. You can move the pic back and forth with that..
:) :) Thanks, Gary and Gary. All of them are really neat.
Hope I will remember to look for that little bar in the future.
Nice builds Gary, they all look good.
Bob
Nice field you have there, Gary! Some great looking builds for sure. All-black Slammers rule! 8)
Rough maybe, real, for sure!!!! All good! Wasn't too many with high dollar, super shiney paint and lettering back in that day...

I hear that.....money was spent on fuel, tires, engines and running gear, etc. Bodies were just there because the rules required them..... right?!
Then there was the team last night at the Fairmont, MN track that debuted a brand new car, USRA Sport Mod, one of the support classes for the USMTS show, at the start of their main event, they didn't even make to the starting line, ending up getting tangled with a couple of other cars and flipped it 2 or 3 times. The good news is that all drivers involved were not injured.
