This is for John2, looks like another winner to me. He can fill in the details...

:) Well, many thanks to J2 for helping me with this. I really hate to depend on others, but I tried unsuccessfully yesterday to even register for Flickr. I'll give that another whirl one of these days.
This is the only model I have been able to manage in the past couple of months, and in truth it practically fell into my lap out of the sky. Rick McKenzie gave me a Mark Martin Taurus kit, that had two bodies in it. The second one with no glass.
I decided to see what I could do with it, and had an old wedge dirt LM, with a homemade T Bird body that was pretty much a failure. Turns out that the chassis was pretty close to a perfect fit for the Taurus. So this dirt car happened.
This represents a car that was wrecked Friday night at Some Speedway. So, the Parker Plating crew pulled an all nighter to get it to Another Speedway, their Saturday night track. They even worked all day up until tow time. It does have a Ford under the hood, and a little shoe polish on the body.
Don't let looks fool you. This beast will fly.
I hope it fits in here somewhere with you guys. So thanks to Rick and James 2 for everything.
john2,
cool looking hot rod there.....!
Like the story behind the build.... :D
looks like a typical Saturday night racer to me Flash. Many racers have done just as your story states. Good one

:) Thanks, guys.
That's a cool build John and it warms my heart to see you soldiering on!!! Thanks you, James, for helping John with the pics!!!😎👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🏁
:) Saw Rick at lunch today. Hoping he will run up on this.
I'd like him to have it back, but he probably won't take it. He's too nice for that.
:) Bumping forward to go with my 11 car, just posted.
Yup, very true to the story....I've seen, and had, a lot of cars like this in my years....Well done...

Very nice build John, I like it.

:) Thanks, guys.
:) Making another lap.
:) And one more. Not quite ready to learn again how to do pictures, but letting you newer guys know I actually can build a model kit. Thanks, J2.
