just started this stuff before I went in for surgery on Thursday. The vega I have cut off the rocker panals and chopped the front roof post. The whelen chassis is likely #1 of a couple.Waiting on a body from Big Donkey and will be scratch building 2 more. But recovery from surgery will take a bit,so I'll post as I can

Looks like another great start. Nothing like building a model helps you heal faster. Hang in there and get better soon.
Thanks,by the time this is over with(about 4 weeks)I may be able to hear again! ;D
cochlear implant.I had the 1st one done in 2013.That helped but began failing a year ago. This implant was done on Thursday on the right side.Let me know if you want more info. With out this I would be completely deaf

I had a little time to mess with both.I'm pretty happy wit the whelen body but may still take 1/8 off the bottom. After this busy week I'll make the roof, rear filler panal. And the vega is coming along slow but sure!

the next one will be better.the fix's for this one would include chopping off 3/8 off the rear, body wider 1/4 in the front and 3/8 in the rear, chassis step up a little earlier and wider and make more cockpit room. It's just easier to put this one on the shelf and start over! Thanks for the kind words!
Thanks david,i am 69 and in no hurry.I really enjoy doing this and I'll get better at it!
