Your attention to detail and scratch building skills are nothing short of amazing to me.

Very nice work! I plan on rebuilding the 92 Bud #11 T-Bird I built back in 93 using that same Powerslide sheet. I still have the body, but no chassis.

Got the track bar installed without glue so far, as well as the axel assembly itself just to make sure it will install properly. I will glue it in as an assembly after I get it painted and hopefully plumbed. Also want to install some chains on each truck arm that they used to limit travel of the axle.

Buy/Sell/Trade / Speedway Decals
Last post by jh63fan - November 07, 2024, 06:09:08 PM
Does anyone know anything about Speedway Decals, I haven't been able to get to their website for awhile now. Are they still around.
Can you suggest similar decal producers, looking more for older cup independents, mostly late 60's thru early 90's.
Thanks

...Yes, it's pretty simple, simply cut to the length needed....clean it out or throw it away after your done using  it.   I wasn't sure about the other brands out there...Iwata,Badger,etc. etc. as far what they use, perhaps someone else knows for sure.

Added the two rear shocks. Just need to add a track bar and the rear suspension will be done. Then I can start priming all the pieces I made including the chassis itself and then paint the parts individually and start assembling the chassis and get it completely finished. I will be able to pose the model for photos with the body on or off. I still have to paint the body again from messing it up with all the handling I had to do with it in mockup work. That's okay because I wasn't really that happy with the completed paint on the body before.

Good source for tubing. Would work good with the taller jars some paint vendors are using

Tips-tricks / Paasche vinyl tube alternative...
Last post by Brian Conn - November 06, 2024, 01:49:24 PM
I shoot a Paasche VL airbrush w/the 1 oz. glass jar.  After my last session, I went to clean the air brush and discovered cracks in the vinyl pick up tube that is in the glass jar.

1/8" I.D X 1/4" O.D micro fuel line (Red) One foot of fuel line cost me $2.00...enough to last me a long time.

As it turns out,the inside dia. of micro fuel line (gas powered weed eaters as an example) is a perfect fit over the fitting on the glass jar lid.  Instead of trying to clean the pick up tube every time I use the air brush,I will just simply replace the used pick up tube with a new, clean one.
