Piggie Bennett, early 50's, Speedway Park, Jacksonville.
All before my time. Expect Piggie picked out the color combination.

used the body & chassis, engine, tires, wheels from these two Revell models.
almost completely stock.

frame, engine
Spark plug wire in 12lb fishing line.

Ron Coon Resin radiator

Testors light blue

let the blue get really dry then added Rustoleum apple red.

Just a car number and drivers name

I'll post the model in the fendered forum when I put all the parts together...

Looking good, really like those old modified coupes.
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

Good looking build so far. Nice period piece.

Did you know it was red and blue ? Or did you make that up ?

Model is for a friend in Florida who was actually familiar with this car and Piggie.
Piggie got his name from his awful eating habits.
He might have been color blind also. Those colors really clash in my opinion !!!
B/W pictures never tell the true story, but sometimes that's all we have to go by.

Piggie Bennett in a much cleaner looking modified around 1960.
Excellent driver behind the wheel, at least so I've been told.
Did this model fairly recently. Don't know the story of the monkey,
but it looks kind of cool.
