just got rolling on decals and stuff after opening the trunk, drilling out the fuel filler, priming and painting the interior of the body and exterior.

will be using LOTS of Jaye's parts for this build... wheels & hubs, seat, dash, ignition boxes, Oberg filter, fuel cell and various lines/fillers/fuel filter... the list goes on.  hopefully it all comes together like i hope...

so far got the upper and lower grilles in place.  the lower grille is something that has been missing from the aftermarket scene for seemingly forever, and once again Jaye comes through with a beautiful piece.  also one of his dashes with attached ignition boxes.

man, 3 coats of Tamiya black sure shines... until you put decals on :o

and i really should pay attention to how the gauges orient when i put them in the bezels ::)

Really looking forward to following along on this one. The grill work looks great. Jaye does some outstanding stuff, made several purchases myself. Are you planning on using his truck arm setup?

Not this time around. I have plenty of his parts on this one, forgot i am using his shocks too. The engine compartment and trunk are gonna be enough work for me.

Does Jaye have a website? I'd like to see his product line.

Looking forward to watching this build. Sounds like you will be going full detail on it.

And my disclaimer is i'm not on his payroll and don't get kickbacks from using/promoting his line of stuff, he just makes really nice pieces and isn't overpriced.

No disclaimer needed brother. Since I've not been back in the hobby to long, I appreciate it when folks say where they get their aftermarket stuff. I'm thankful for the help, and the replies that all of you have given me. So many aftermarket folks are only on Facebook and for me, that's a bridge to far.

I buy from Jaye and never been disappointed.
Another good 3D printer is Jim Rodgers, the JR in Salvino JR. He does a lot of parts for the first generation Monogram GM cars, which have always been my favorite. You can email him for a list.

I'll second the JR endorsement. He has a great set of headers for that era of GM cars to replace the 180 degrees ones. I bought enough from him to replace them on all my builds from that era, and now i need to order some more. He also has some nice single exhaust pipes to go with them.

Looking good. Assuming those are Powerslide decals, look great on the black. Neat how adding a handful of aftermarket parts can make it feel like a different kit.

Thanks. And they are Powerslide decals. I took the silver decals from a Monte sheet because the Lumina set didn't have them and i was feeling lazy about painting them.
