Since my '32 jalopy sedan is coming along slowly, I thought I would post another older build. It was during a time when I was experimenting with trying to get a realistic outside shot of a model. I don't think this was ever posted before.

This car represents one that might have raced around 1962 on SoCal tracks, using an OHV V-8. It was kind of a transitional period, moving away from flatheads, and right before the early modifieds and figure 8 racers came into popularity. At that point in time, the California Jalopy Association had pretty much tossed out the rule book as far as engine type, and other restrictions. It was the beginning of the end for the pure jalopy class.

Wow! That looks like the real deal. I had to look and read it twice! Cool build Marty.

WOW!!
That is super cool!!!

That could have run with the modifieds around Northern Iowa and Southern Minnesota, back in the mid '60's!!

Man Marty...great job on the build and the Photography. It does look real. What scale is that?

Beautiful Marty, that picture could have fooled me, looks real.

:)  Great, Marty.  I remember it from Fred's.    Let's see the others too, please.

:)  Marty, this is truly one of the best models and presentations I have ever seen.  One to be quite proud of. Looks for all the world to be the real thing, and what a subject.
