Roger "The Bear" Regath, 1962 Wisconsin area champion. He won it the year prior in a 54 Chevy 6 cylinder stove, a car he sold to Ron Schmidt, my step brother.
These early cars were junkyard primitive to say the least. Stock appearing motors that matched the year and make, white painted stock wheels , skinny tires and a minimal amount of safety features, They still put on a good show, beatin' and bangin!! Dirtman Rett can tell you that!

Although I never raced against either Regath or Zack. Watched them plenty. Regath had gone north to race and Zack was into modifieds by the time I got fast enough to race with them. Another great job Slim.

Thanks fellas. The Monagram model certainly was sedan with the post cut out. The 55 they put out and the real car were hardtop coupes. Go figger!
