Ed K. wouldn't sell me his trailer kit, so I had to scratch out this one.  I tried for one like the first of the 2 wheelers that carried late models.  Mid  1960s I suspect.

I got a close length and width down on a sheet of paper, and glued up a platform and winged it from there.  I  took a rear end/axle with springs,  from my junkyard, and cut the differential out.  Then glued it in, and ad-libbed the bracing.  I got  a tow bar from somewhere, and the rear fenders from a '32 Ford.

It's good enough for me.  Click thumbs for larger views.

Could have fooled me! I would have thought it was store bought.

That's a nice trailer John, I like it.
It's much nicer than the real ones back in the day. There was some very crude trailers used to haul race cars.

Have a question here, though.  Is the sponsor info legible  to y'all ?  Not on this computer, but it was ok on my original post of the car.  Could be this computer, or my poor photography.

We have known each other a long time.  Was just messing with you on the trailer, Ed.  However I didn't spend a cent on it.

That's why I couldn't resist coming back at ya'!!  We both know that it is all in the fun of being here.... ;) ;D

Looks really good to me.  It may be "crude" but it gets the job done.  I remember one from the OKC fairgrounds that was made of black water pipe and had the axle welded to the trailer runners. I wouldn't haul my lawnmower on that one, but he proudly hauled his open-wheel modified on it.  Whatever it takes to get there, doesn't matter how it looks.
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

Great job on the trailer, John.
I have a big bag of "sprue frames".
