I decided I wanted to be able to display the engine on my late model so started revamping the whole front end. Modified the bell housing to sort of resemble a Brinn bell housing with belt drive oil pump and rear mounted starter.  Fabricated motor mounts. To make the nascar small block look like a big inch dirt motor, installed heads and intake from a nascar cup motor. The whole engine assy will be painted aluminum. Headers made from solder. I have to build a left side header yet. Model on!

Maineboy

Real nice work Tom, I just love all that fabricating. In Maine when the first mods came out in the 50's and 60's there was a tremendous amount of this kind of fabrication by Maine guys. Back then you couldn't buy it so you had to make it yourself.

I have very fond memories of those very talented guys who built full size cars this way, simply because they had no other choice.

Keep up the good work, can't wait to see the end product.
