Modelers,

Here's my build of the Super Stocker monte carlo kit.  Built box stock except for the decals.

Thanks for looking,
Mike

Excellent build, looks like it is ready to rumble.  Very nice 180 degree headers,
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

I'm liking it a lot Mike. How are you doing and your family. I'm still fighting depression and pain in my shoulder

Charlie,
Still the same as usual except getting older.  The family is still about the same also.  Glad you like the Monte, wish they would repop some of those kits.   I have a couple replica builds I would like to do and need the chassis's.

Mike,

This car is real nice just like all the work you have shown us so far. You must have a pretty fair collection by now. I had a bunch of old AMT and other kits that I had had for years, some of them from the 60's, and sold most of them last year on Ebay. Had to have the space but wish I had kept the 32 Ford Coupe model. I still got a model of the Orange Krate show car that I am going to do some day, but the chrome in the model is just way too bright and the flashing is the worst I have ever seen. Going to take some time to get my courage up for that.

Keep building and showing them to us.

Maineboy,

Before I found Fred's forum (predecessor to here) I built mainly Nascar kits  and thought I was a modeler.  I was just a puzzle put together in plastic.  I hacve learned alot about detailing and taking a street kit and turning them into roundy rounders.  As to date I have over 300 builds between Nascar and Short trackers with a few street replica builds

Mike,

Life is a learning process. I joined this website because of the high quality work shown and all of the step by step build photos. I have been building car models since about 1958 or so, but not seriously for many years. Thankfully I have never thought that I knew everything about models or most anything else for that matter. I have learned some detailing techniques from many Youtube vids I have watched. But the new stuff to learn that I see on this website is just out of this world.  Thank you very much for showing your work to all of us, I am grateful for the opportunities to learn.

I grew up on the Maine coast in a seafaring family and was a lobster fisherman for quite a few years. I have read a bit about life on the rivers but never knew anyone with first hand experiences. Sometime it would be nice to find our more on that topic.

Thanks again for sharing your modeling skills with us.
