Looks like progress to me.

Donato, I did not know you did modifieds. This one is going to be top of the chart just like your other builds. Who knows, maybe you will give me inspiration to do one of these open wheel machines.

Humidity and some indecision holding me up. Took off the left front pony wheel. Might try a different pink roll-bar padding. Maybe go with black padding instead.

What did you use for your roll bar padding?

I was going to ask that same question. Inquiring minds want to know.

I put one styrene tube (rollbar size) inside the other and file the grooves (tape impressions) on the outer. This time I may paint the padding flat black and paint the grooves gloss black to resemble tape.

I also sand the ends and grooves to smooth and round them a little. Hope this helps.

I think genius may be a bit strong, but that is one of the most impressive ideas I have seen lately. Oh, alright, it is a genius innovation. Thanks for sharing it with us.
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

Thank you Rattlecan Dan, I really appreciate the tip. I'll be using that one somewhere down the line.

:) Yes, a novel idea.  Can't wait to see her all dolled up.

Beautiful work!  Love all the details as well as the overall "look" you're achieving.  I've built enough of these types of models to appreciate how hard it is to get everything to fit together- get one thing wrong and it throws everything else off!  Really like your roll cage padding, will definitely try that myself.  Also wondering what you used for the screen, is it window screen?

Rattlecan Dan

Thanks for the compliments. I've enjoyed viewing your builds as well. The screen was out in the shed when I moved into this house. I think it's for keeping weeds out of the garden. Lol. It's a kind of nylon or plastic. Thanks for viewing. The finished build is here on the forum somewhere.
