This is the first Chevy to win a race in what is now considered the cup series in Nascar competition.

Now that is a stock car, even has the license plate still attached. Another beautiful archive build Mark. Kind of odd seeing the Mercury name on the driver's door of a Chevrolet. Keep those builds coming, you are getting extremely close to my introduction to NASCAR racing. I still vividly remember sitting at my grandmother's house on the side of US 421 during race week at North Wilkesboro Speedway and watching the cars come by, many on trailers others being flat towed.  My young mind could not figure why they didn't drive them.
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

Great stuff Mark. A little history to go with a really cool build.

Beautiful Chevy Mark! I love the stance.

Thanks again Rick, Steve, and Donato. These cars could actually be driven on the street. They had full exhaust systems including the mufflers.

Very nice and clean build, Mark.

Great !!

:) Very nice.  Seems unusual to me to have one half red and half black.  I like it.

Thanks John. Fonty had an Oldsmobile he won the Southern 500 in painted the same way. I guess he liked it.
