Puzzling to Me

  I look at Facebook, but I don't post anything. 

I see this guy there who builds the dirt modifieds like race(d?) at Langhorn and Syracuse.  The ones with the flat sides, and low noses. 

He uses cardboard boxes, like cereal comes in, for the body panels, and I can't tell if these are patterns, or the finished pieces.  Seems to me it would take a lot of paint to cover all the wording for the products they are selling.

When I do anything like that, I just use file folders for the patterns, and transfer them to the Evergreen Plastic. 

Any thoughts ?

I would keep doing what you are doing. Using something like a box, I would have reservations about it separating over time. If something is worth doing, it's worth spending a few bucks on it. Just my opinion.

....I would say that the cardboard would work great for a pattern..thin enough to cut rather easy with a pair of scissors, some what holds a form.  From my own experience.....as far as a body goes, over time whatever glue and paint were used would start to break down the cardboard, turning the body to trash.
