This build, as far as I can recollect, has not been posted here. I hope you don't mind me posting it. Completed over ten years it shared here and there, the car never did get much notice or replies. Regardless, it was one of my favorites.
After a frustrating attempt at building the kit cay, (the Petty Dart was not re-released yet, I decided to build a similar car using the Revell 68 Dart kit. Chassis , motor, everything race worthy. Grafted the kit car nose to the Dart, 'cuz I thought it looked rather spiffy, I scratched a cage and build the stock unibody platform to resemble a race chassis. Nothing too "kit-bashed' here. (Hahaha Tubbs!) I liked how this turned out and I hope you guys do too. Hoping to get back to the old shelved build and see what I can salvage! Thank you David for the inspiration.

KIT BASHED...that's got to be one of the WORST slang sayings for scale building that has come around in a hundred yrs. The only true "KIT BASHED " model that I've seen was when Bob Robinson(SABA..Portland Or.) set a fully built car( this is at a Model show) on the floor and stomped on it about three times....all because a guy(IPMS rivet counter) said that his plug wires were wrong. They weren't by the way... but Bob blew that guys mind that's for sure.

Nice build slim. Like the color for sure.
"Man...I love the smell of Methonal and Dirt in the morning. Then....Methonal and Asphalt in the afternoon is GOLDEN also."

I don't recall seeing this build, so its all new to me.  I really like what you where able to do with the Revell '68 Dart kit and yes, the front does look quite spiffy.
The only heroes in Washington are buried just outside of it in Arlington

I like it alot Slim. I've never had a kit car, so I thought that's what came in the box until I started reading your description! Nicely done.

Really fine job on this short-tracker.  I have the Cushman (?) kit in my stash.  Is it any better than the original issue?
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.
