Favorite GK supermodified version

This was the 4th and final GK supermodifed built...back when the sprint and super were separate kits, not the 2 n 1 that it became in the early 1980's and the DTR reissue in 2006



This build was not built straight from the box....the tires/wheels are from an obscure Lotus Ford F-1 kit, tires way out of proportion, width wise, but still like the look of them on this build. And, the engine, except for engine front, fuel injection system and modified sprint car headers, is from a never built AMT Tobias Modified kit. IRRC, from the Mustang bodied version....on the nose, found a thick piece of plastic sprue to fill the nose opening, and since the tires lowered the car, raised and modified the front nerf bar. IIRC, this was hand painted, or at least the orange, as it was only available in bottle....
