Bird glue bomb. Mostly built chassis and stuff. Just wondered what a t-bird would look like as a LM.IMG_0001 by Rett Rundell, on FlickrIMG_0003 by Rett Rundell, on FlickrIMG_0004 by Rett Rundell, on FlickrIMG_0009 by Rett Rundell, on FlickrIMG_0010 by Rett Rundell, on Flickr

Nice save.  Never saw one in real life, but your makes a really cool racer.
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

I never saw one in real life either. I had it, so I built it and I guess that's what this hobby can be about.

Rett,

That is a real nice looking job on one of those "coulda been" cars. I have seen one or two in drag racing but never one on an oval track.

Those 2 seater birds have long been among my favorite cars. And people think I am just a Chevy guy. Working in the neighborhood garage as a kid I got to drive a 57 one time, loved it. Ford only built a bit over 50,000 in three years so they were fairly rare. Being low to the ground to begin with one of these would make a pretty good race car I would think.

I love this one, Rett! It is a very unique, and unusual model. I really like the stance on it. Two thumbs up!

:)  I like the orange and black paint.  Reminds me of one of our late models back in the '70s.

 I've seen one ...sort of.
About 30 years ago I seen a '57 T-Bird bodied limited dirt late model sitting in some ones yard here locally...it had seen its better days.  Still had its roof, with the port holes, some what attached.  The original hood was long gone as well as the original fenders which was replaced with a wedge nose and hood.  Don't know what ever became of it.
I really like what you where able to do with this build.
