:) Some thoughts in old age,  84 now.  Most of the get up and go has gone.

Been a modeler off and on since 12, and a racing fan since 14.  Probably built close to 400 models in all those years.  Been to at least 50 tracks including Alaska.

Still trying to follow racing in the real world, by computer, but my last heroes have all but vanished completely.  Kenseth, B Labonte, and Newman.  Watched many favorites drift away over the years.  Most ran out of money, or got too old to be wanted.  Most did not want to go.

Not that I would compare myself with any driver, but I can identify with that.  Still love models, but just can't do them as well anymore.  My other hobby is watercolor painting, but I can't do that as well either.  The reason is plain and simple.  Age.

Can't drive at night, can't stay out as late as most tracks run.  Can't climb the stands, and then there is the bathroom thing.

What can you do?

Thanks for the memories.

Looks like you already have the answer to your question at the bottom of your post.
