I've been building the 64 Plymouth that Al Eckstrand campaigned and I am using the AMT kit. It is overall a decent kit but it has issues that you will have to correct in order for it to be closer to the real car. Built out of the box it will produce a nice model but the wheels are a just a tiny bit too far back so you have to shave and notch and add a little length to the catch plate at the rear of the body and bunch of little adjustments in order to get those wheels and frame forward where they belong. Most folks wouldn't notice or care but it's just one of those quirky things about me. . . I know it's off and it bugs me!!  ::) I've spent more time getting the wheels to nest correctly in their wheel wells than I have building everything else! There are a handful of little paint details to finish underneath but it's finally about ready for body paint.

I appreciate people that actually build and post models.

David, I am totally with you on wheel to wheel- well, placement. Same goes for wheel alignment, big time!
I love the Super/Stock cars back when "Won on Sunday, sold on Monday" was the theme. Very nice start on your Plymouth sir!

Not into drag racing so much. But certainly into good looking race cars and this one is it. Nice paint!!! Looks fast sitting there. And I did follow drag racing enough to recognize this one!

I'm not into drag racing either but you built a very nice model here David. The body work and paint are excellent as always.
I like the wedge engine with the two fours and staggered intake. Brian Osgood ran one of these engines in a modified at Port Royal speedway in Pa. around 1963 or 64.

Well, I do like the old Super Stockers and Junior Stockers.  I have the bits and decals to do this one....somewhere.  Everything except the correct shade of paint.  This one looks super good to me so ifs ya wanna, send it to me and I will dispose of it in MY display case.  It would look pretty durn Skippy next to my Ramchargers 64 Dodge.  Keep A Glooin' David, I don't care what kind of race car it is, I'll be Lookin'.
