I'm in need of a deep dish steering wheel for a replica build.
They were first used on Fords starting in 1956. A lot of the modifieds and late models in our area used these steering wheels.

Do you know any resin suppliers that might offer these for sale?

If anyone has one they would sell and ship to me I would be interested in purchasing one.

David,

I got this picture off the internet. I would remove the horn ring.

This type deep dish steering wheel was first used by Ford in 1956. They had a big safety advertisement about the steering wheel and padded dash. Prior to 1956 all steering wheels were flat, the center horn button went right into your chest if you crashed.

Thanks David,

This is my next replica build, you can see the steering wheel in this photo.
They had the driver set back as far as possible in the car and the steering wheel extended back to the driver.

:)  :)I cannot see it, but then, I am old.

I'll look and see if I  have one too.  I know I have had at one time.
