:)Refer to David Bogard's current topic on Larry Phillips wedge dirt car.  First picture.

I would be interested if anyone knows the years it  was popular to haul short track cars on open trailers behind cube vans.  I think that was the  last thing before tractor trailers and toter homes and stacker trailers became the rage.

I would really love to see a kit of a cube van.

It is still being done john,  depends on where you are, who you are,  and how big your bank roll is.

...Using Larry Phillips as an example....
There is a picture posted in the spot light thread showing the ton and a half Ford cube van from 1978...it looks to be either a '76 or '77 model year of van.
The build post that David has going on shows the same van in '84 - '85
Lefturns 75 is right...the cube vans and converted ambulances are still being used today...I started seeing the cube vans around here in the late 70's ......Larry Phillips van would have been one of them.

:)  Ok, but 20 other projects already ahead of it.  I am sure all of us have more ideas than anything else.

It would be cool though.

Hey John,
Just saw this topic. The cube vans were in use I know from the late '70s into the late '80s & early '90s for sure.
Here's a few pics for you:

Here's nice one that Mark Jefferies built a few years ago:

:)  Thanks, Jim.  I remembered that Jefferies built one, but could not remember his name or the particular model.  Mark later ( years ago now ) announced that he was leaving modeling for an extended time, and I never saw anything about him again.  He showed some  really nice models.

Thanks for the pictures.  I would love to try one, but just have too many other projects ahead of it.  You know how that goes ---------------  more ideas than anything else.
