Chassis looks GREAT!! Tks, it's basicly stock, just modified the front spindles a little to get it lower.

Dirtman......

Seat reminds of a custom seat from the orignal tool AMT '57 Chevy........

Half windshield 'cause I didn't have a good one and saw it done this way somewhere and the interior done. Body going in for paint. Slow going for me.....

I have no clue what kit that seat came from. I was in a rush for a seat and found that one, ergo, close enough. This car is sort of a "get me back into the building mood" I want to be in! lol

tks for the comments. Right now it's sitting on the shelf, not done. But it is painted.....blue. The thing is that I did a couple of things wrong and it ticked me off. So I set it on the side while I attempt a 40 couple, which also got me a little riled! LOL So now, I'm building a '40 sedan early modified. Maybe I'll finish this one!!!

Good looking ride you're building up.  Can't believe the radical top chop.  One of my club members talked about chopping tops on race cars here in Nebraska.  The cars I saw racing back in SE Wisc did not have a top chop and that included modifieds,  Anyhoo that is a good looking build and has my to thumbs up and i'm anxious to see the finished product!

I'm from Milwaukee (raced at Hales in the 60's & 70's)and never saw a chopped top one around there either. Must have been a southern thing....But I love the look

I do believe you're right about the top chops.  While I've got your ear, when you raced in Wisconsin did you ever hear of a modified driver named Joe Jones?  He raced at Capitol speedway in Oregon and he raced at several other tracks.  I would like to try a build up of his car.  It was a Model A 30/31 Ford coupe, paint was blue and white with gold numbers #21.  I believe he ran big block Fords but not sure.  I would love to see any photos of his car.  Hopefully you or another member on here can help me with that.  Thanks

Sorry about not responding! When I put this one away, I sort of didn't check the forum for comments. I remember the name Joe Jones. Don't think he ran Hales Corners. At least not very often. Also, I wasn't much of a modified fan, was more into the full bodied cars, sportsman and late models.

No fancy two tone paint on this one. I completely trashed one body(glue bomb). So had to haul out a new one. Anyway, this is it. Used the 56 chassis, scratched a cage, dash and most everything else. It's done, I'm happy, moving on now, lol. Hope someone likes it besides me.....
