Growing up in the Tampa Bay area there was a track called Golden Gate Speedway a mile from my house.  I loved that track, met alot of great friends from there and still friends today.  Dad started sponsoring a local latemodel hot shoes in 1974 and the next year he built one and had a few of the local drivers behind the wheel.  Track closed down for good in 84.    Now it's a flea market now.  Man I miss that track so much.
