I'm still building short track cars! Here's a pair on the bench right now. 32 Ford Victoria (Red) and a 34 Ford Sedan (White Primer)

Now those are real race cars. Love 'em. Out here they double Z'd the frames to get the front end lower, but otherwise they are very familiar. I hate to think of all the old coupes, and sedan, that got sacrificed to build these cars.
In fact toward the end of this era of racing old bodies get in such short supply that somebody began marketing a three piece body kit for modifieds. It consisted of a narrowed rear body panel, with top side panels that only ran half way to the windshield area, and separate door panels that covered the sides of the car. These body panels were all held on with aircraft Zeus fasteners. Anybody remember these? Got some pictures of these cars somewhere.

Two nice builds coming along there Slim. I'm still amazed at those big bumpers.

Very nice work - they remind me of the old "super modified" class that race at Knoxville, IA - a precursor to the sprint cars. (I assume they don't still race these ??)
