I still remember seeing this car race at Asheville Weaverville  speedway when I was 9 years old. The pearl yellow paint just glowed in the sunlight. I always wanted to try to do a replica of it. This is what I've got so far. Not too much more to go to finish it. Been piddling with it for well over a year.

That's an eye-popper for sure!! Man I wish they still raced cars that we could recognize! Gorgeous so far Rick!!
That is nearly impossible, since all cars look so much alike nowadays.  But if they were to run true Mustang, Camaro, etc bodies than it would be a bit easier.

Back to the model, that is going to be a real stunner.  Where did you get the '64 body?  I wish AMT/Round2 would rerelease a full kit of the '62 and'64 Fords.
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

Yes, those 64 Ford kits are very hard to find. I did a Tom Pistone 64 Ford and was talked into selling it to his daughter, which I wished I had never done. I really miss that build. I tried to find another kit and no luck at all.

Beautiful replica I can't wait to see the finished product.

Very cool Galaxie , Rick !!

I saw it in the movie ´Red Line 7000´.  What a great sound!

Wanted always to build this very model, but i have build till now Bobby Allison´s, Tiny Lund´s and Fireball´s 1964 Galaxies.

I still have one in my stash and this is by far the most valuable kit i have.

I have the decals to do the Tiger Tom Pistone car from this kit, one day, maybe... :) :)
Greetings from Germany!
