We have no topic for dioramas, so maybe Tom will create one.

This represents a local back yard operation from about 1970.  The owner/driver, Bud, is a mechanic for Russell Bennett  Chevrolet, and gets stuff at cost for sponsorship.  His two friends help him, and they run the quarter mile asphalt about 20 miles away, with no aspirations of the bigtime.

They win a few along, and have a ton of fun together.

The old coupe was raced years earlier by his dad, and they pulled it out of the woods for a winter restoration project.

Thanks for looking, and Happy Easter.

Thanks everybody for the comments.  This REALLY is my last one.  I think maybe  I have done 4.  They take up space and collect dust.  After  a while, I  then dismantle them. I have enjoyed doing all of them, and will keep this one.

I am going to take it  to Memphis.

Cool Diorama John. You sure nailed the feel of the LOCAL Race shop.

Funny David, and Gary, I wanted just enough props to say small race shop.  Not a lot of clutter.

I like it a lot. Most dioramas are overcrowded, this one is just right. My only criticism ( come on John you knew you wouldn't get off scot free) is dirt is not selective, if one thing in the shop is dirty, everything is dirty, starting with white T shirts.

No, no.  You guys don't understand.  This spotless shop set the trend for the laboratorylike  NASCAR shops of today.

Yes, it will be at Memphis.  By the way, Charlie,  is there anything I am supposed to bring you ?
