It was sad to learn of Verlin Eaker's passing last week & also kind of eery as my version of what I might refer as a "Verlin Eaker Tribute" model neared completion.  This car competed throughout Eastern Iowa during the 1966 season, and was always a serious contender. Special thanks to David Bogard for the decals & tutorial he did on his replica of this Mopar last October.  I followed his chassis instructions to a "T", and they were spot-on.  The Greg Holland decals were terrific...thin, yet still VERY strong!

Very nice replica build Bob. I don't know how I missed this one.

What great memories that brings back, Bob!!!  I can still hear that Hemi thundering down the front straightaway at Hawkeye Downs and the ear splitting music it made under the grandstand canopy!!!  What a beautiful tribute to our fallen hero!!! 🏁🏁🏁

I must have blacked out before or after David blacked out! I can't say enough about how much I like this model. Gotta give it an 11!
