Well, Marty's work got my juices flowing! Whle I was waiting for decals for the old '60 Ford short tracker, I checked with Marty in a PM to make sure that if I pulled out an old Rat Packer kit and started working on it that he wasn't going to feel stepped on. He was all for it! So heck, if someone else has an old Rat Packer kit, break it open and maybe we'll have a few to line up at the drag strip!!

Anyway, on mine, I cut the front leaf spring pockets off, lengthened the very front of the frame, built some new spring pockets and moved everything forward. I also lowered the rear suspension but I might raise it back up a hair when I make and put some shocks on it. I was going for a more radical look and frankly, you can't do anything wrong with this era of AWB cars. The wheels placements were all over the place as they searched for just the right weight transfer. She's up on her wheels and I started tinkering with the motor. I will next scratch out a cage and get the interior work done.

It's a real simple kit but a nice break and lot of fun! Thanks Marty!

I appreciate people that actually build and post models.

That's looking good, David. I like the contrast of the aluminum painted heads.

David, that is a fine looking piece of iron. It looks almost as fast as the Rattler! I am moving along with it, and hope to finish it soon. I hope you have the Gunfighter loaded and ready to fire!
