The thing is, I haven't any idea where those rims came from. They had rubber on them and were in my stash of tires and rims! Hopefully I can make the rest of the car do justice for them!

Going to be watching this big boat come together.  Sometime way back in the late 60's Hickory Speedway NC had a 250 lap LMS race.  All the local drivers were running Tri-Five Chevy's or Fords at that time.  Three or four cars towed in from Alabama, one was a 58 Ford; that was the biggest monstrosity I had ever seen on a short track. So build on and keep us in the loop.
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

I ran pretty well with the Tri-fives. Those big blocks were something once ya gottem wound up! Plus, you could make them pretty wide when ya needed too. LOL

I got to see 2 races at Shakopee Minnesota in '66.  There were 3 '58 Fords there.  I thought they were super cool.

This will be a great one, Rett.  Keep going.

Don't know the tires but the wheels look like the ones found in the ASA kits.

What a great kit to start with so much potential....the '60 Starliners made for some awesome stock cars and I'm sure that your build will demonstrate this fully. :)

Finally got this one done. I think I like this one, didn't give me much trouble!!!

I love it, its a great example of when stock cars were big cars and many different brands and makes and racing was not an endless procession of Camero's, Mustangs and Toyota's local short tracks here are Camero's and Mustangs I only go to 1 or 2 races a year

Big Fords always make for good looking race cars and you did a really nice job on this one. '64 is my favorite year of Ford but these 1960 models are a close second. Looks like something you would have driven Rett!

'64 is one of my favorite all time, street and race. I drove those and '62's, all with big blocks (love them). Had a big '67 Galaxie LM  inbut it was just too big to compete with the Mustangs and Camaros, besides it got totaled about 5 nights into the season in '73! Ran my friends '70 Mustang in '74 also.

Love the way that turned out. I also like the paint scheme and graphics.
