One more color to go! Then it's lettering, clear coat, bumpers and a couple of small details. Oops, hope I didn't jinx it, this is the stage I usually mess something up!

....Nothing finer than a big car broad sliding it thru a turn on a dirt track :)   Your Merc is turning out great!!

Man Rett...that really looks good. My brother-in-law ran a ford like that back in the late 60's. Seeing yours makes me want to build it right now...LOL

Looks mighty fine, a bit patriotic for the upcoming Memorial Day remembrance.
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

That was sort of the idea, but I didn't have the correct red, and couldn't go get some.

That is nice and sleek low rider. Well done!

Well !  Would you look at that big ole bomber,     Great, Rett.

I really like it, Rett !
Big ol' Lead Sled racer. She looks fast just sitting there.

Gotta love those big heavy race cars. Nice model, Rett!

Thanks for all the interesting comments. I actually enjoyed this build, and for once, it came out decent! Appreciate all the comments.

WOW!  Beautiful car.  I wouldn't try to get around a car that size with that long rear end hanging out, there wouldn't be any space on the turns and too much car to pass on the straights.  Great job.

It's funny how my '64 Fords got a little wider on the last lap or two! LOL
