Well finally got this one done. Spent a little more time on it than planned but am happy the way it turned out. Lot of scratch building (for me). Gutted most of the floor, ran exhaust thru the frame, added front hoop with added shocks, etc, etc.... Hope ya'll like it!

Looks great to me, Rett.
Nice scratch building work.
I'm curious about that shade of blue & what tires you used.

Fine build Rett, this build resembles the cars that at my local track, except its a little too clean. Must be the first race of the season.

Arctic Blue Metallic over Duplicolor sandable primer is the color. Tires came out of my stash, think I got them at a swap somewhere. And yeah, opening night! LOL

Very nice clean build Rett.

I think we all watched these car run, somewhere in our area during this time period.
Looks very period correct.

That is one mean looking thing. I think it is about to be loaded up to go to the annual March mall show.

Didn't see many '57's around here, mostly '55's and a few '56's; on occasion for special races one or two would show up.  Really like this build.  Has the look of that period.  Would like to see some frame shots.  Thanks for sharing.
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

Rett, is the arctic blue metallic a Dupli-color paint as well? I love Duplicate-Color touch-up paints. I live in a Hobby shop waste land, and use dupli-color almost exclusively.

Artic Blue Metallic is Detail Master. I like it 'cause I can change the shades by using different undercoats like gold, silver, etc.

Thanks Rett, I have used a color from Dupli-Color  That is quite similar, but maybe one shade lighter. In fact I used it on a '57 Chevy early dirt car.

Great job on channeling that body....it just makes for a better looking stock car all together....also like what you where able to do with the engine and front hoop assembly.
