I'm calling this one a Vintage racer. Started a while back and just decided to finish it. Ford powered.

Geez is that nice.  I just loved those late 40's-early 50's Mercs. Never saw one on a dirt track in my neighborhood but this sure looks  like it belongs there. My first car was a 50 Ford and I learned a lot working on them. Those Mercs were a bit pricey for the day thus there were not many in my neighborhood. But I sure do love the styling on them. The paint job just brings that out on this one. Thanks for a nice look while drinking my first cup of coffee this morning!

I would not have expected anything else but a big Ford motor, from your imagination! Even though I am a lifetime Chevy guy there is a place in my heart for all other good motors and those big block fords sure hit the spot in lots of places.

Mighty fine looking racer, very nice color combination.  Not sure where that particular "Parkway Ford" is located, but over the years I have bought a couple of cars from Parkway Ford in Winston-Salem, NC.
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

Nice job on the Merc, Rett. I wouldn't want to get hit by that thing!

Thanks for the comments guys! I just did this one because I had it started a long time ago. I posted it on FB Short Track and listed it as a SBC not Ford. Getting old and senile I guess. Oh well.

Welcome to the club. My wife is real good about telling me when I have had an "old timers" moment.
