Hey all.

My just finished Bill Elliott ride from 1993. Posting now before room dust settles on it.

The Monogram kit with Powerslides. And steel decals for window strips. Very easy, why I not do this before?!

A new net but still painting the dash dials, no decals. Just enough detail.

And wheels turned too. Finally found a good mod on the steering rack. Also no smaller grilles as I prefer the aero look and the larger grille I infilled with some strip.

Paint is Post Office van red, over a pale grey primer. The colour tone turned out great I feel, better than I expected.
If Mike's ever reprints the #25 Bud Schraeder car I'll use the same paint.

Well done. The "simple" paint scheme is striking. Nowadays it seems they are out to clutter them up as much as they can, it's hard to tell who that week's sponsor is.

Fabulous build, VDC. Super clean body work and paint. Also, the decals are excellently placed and applied. Can't see a thing wrong with this beautiful build.

All around a great looking build! Body work, color, decals............everything came together. Like jh63fan mentioned, the simple paint job is spot on. I much prefer the simpler paint jobs of that era. Only one, two, maybe three colors at the most. Well done VDC!

Thanks to all.

It is a simple scheme and I agree, it really pops. It being on this classic body shape really helps too I think.

And no roof rails due to this being a repaint. The previous TS, I wet sanded so badly I had to start again, so i just sanded them off.
But is my 7th build this year, not bad and hopefully I can post two more by December.

You did a super job! Great looking build.
