for those of you who didn't follow the WiP, this is Kasey Kahne's 2004 Dodge Intrepid, his rookie season in NASCAR.  it's modeled after the car he ran in Phoenix that year, with the black numbers.  he started 4th and finished 5th. for the year, he had no wins, 13 top 5s, 14 top 10s, 4 poles, and led 692 laps on the season; good enough to earn rookie of the year.  he also won $4.6 million on the year.  all in all not a bad start for a kid from Washington state with an open wheel background.

the kit is a Revellogram Ryan Newman Intrepid, paint is Tamiya italian red (TS-8) over red oxide primer.  decals are mostly from JWTBM, the original sheet i got was from Winscals and i only ended up using the "DODGE" above the grilles from that sheet.  it held up terribly over the years, everything i tried to use from it (except the rookie stripes) cracked.  the aftermarket parts i used were all from Jaye - wheels, dash, antenna, fuel filler.

i am overall happy with how it turned out, which is rare for me :o

Excellent job, Dave. Everything done at a high skill level. Cleanliness of build, paint, decals, stance and anything else I forgot to mention. All up to your usual standards.

Yes! You should be happy with your results. Very nice-looking build.

Beautiful job!I used similar decals for Bill Elliot's #91 UAW Dodge Dealers Car, he ran in Vegas, back some years ago. The pictures are gone after my computer crashed many years ago.
The secret is in Baltimore

Great looking build and good to see Dodge also.
