If you know of any Tig welders,here's some aluminium rod,3-32".


Very pliable, bends easily by hand and holds its shape.
It's slightly oversized compared to the 1/24 roll cages, but if no other choice, may just work.

If you have a Harbor Freight or similar store around, they sell a small amount in a plastic tube about 2-3 foot long for about $15. Make sure to get aluminum as it also comes in various types of steel.
