Thanks for the info,  I will do that the next time I work with resin and I do have many many items from Larry.  Mr. Bogard how much material did you remove from the rear attaching posts used to attach the body to the chassis on the 65 Ford modified stock car? per the photos it looks as though there may be about n 1/8th inch left.  I hope I'm not asking for another modelers secrets!  Thanks

Hello all ... My name is Steve ... glad to be here (again).
Was a member over on "Fred's" page years ago, life and new wife took me away for a bit but ready to enjoy this kinda stuff again.
Thanks to the admins for accepting me and to the fantastic builders on the page for giving me inspiration to get back into building.
I am still pretty busy with work so my posts and progress will be a lot slower than most.
Still cant figure out how to get my avatar to post right-side up ... any help fixing that would be awesome.
Have a great day guys.

Hello all, I'm Frank Davis I grew up in Albuquerque watching the SW supermodifieds race, I now live North of Seattle WA. I'll be 68 this year retired at 65 was a machinist / welder / hydraulic steering tech for 40 years. I build mostly older sprint cars and supermodifieds with a midget or two as well. I'm one of those builders that never sees a model as being "finished" there's always something to change or redo. Posted a bit on Fred's site when it was up and running. I need to figure out flickr in order to get some things posted on this site. I've seen some nice builds on these pages a lot of talent on this site.

Gary Davis

Hey Frank...welcome aboard.... Where above Seattle are you? I'm in Tacoma/Parkland just south of you. Did you retire from Boeing? My brother and his wife retired from Boeing just last yr. They sure don't miss working there...that's for sure.

Supers and Sprints are very cool. I'm with you on the early yrs. All though the ISMA over on the east coast are really cool. I saw the west coast supers run at Shasta Speedway(Anderson Ca.) a few yrs back and MAN...they were a bullet shot out of a gun. Very fast cars...plus...they look cool!

Really looking forward to seeing your work Frank...

Hi Gary, we live between Edmonds and Mukilteo in a small island of Snohomish county. I retired as a product support engineer in the marine propulsion industry for a company called Hamilton Jet, they manufacture water jets for engines rated from 200 to 6000 horsepower. It was a very interesting career.

Gary Davis

Oh Yea...Snohomish. That's a pretty cool town. I like that Hamburger/soda shop/ car Museum thing they have there. Went there a few yrs ago to a car show they held outside in the parking lot. A very cool show indeed. The Casino is pretty cool too! I haven't been to the Falls as it didn't appeal to me. I guess I should take my wife there for a look see. But....NOT TODAY!!!LOL It's snowing and 29 outside my kitchen window as I type to you. I'll bet you're getting NAILED up there. Well...stay safe and warm and we'll talk in a bit.

Gary

Gary, we're pretty close to the water so a little warmer at 30 with light snow. With about 8 inches of white stuff on the ground.

Hi, all you other modelers. I'm Anne, John2's wife. He talked me into trying my hand at modeling and low and behold, I built a '58 Edsel and it won 2nd place in a competition on Saturday! Now I'm hooked.

I met CharlieD in Memphis on Saturday and got to talk again with Hondo, which is always a pleasure, and met many other nice people and talented modelers.

David Bogard

Welcome Annie! Any photos of the Award Winning Edsel?
I appreciate people that actually build and post models.
