I finally figured out this Flickr thing a little. Been slowly working on the Chevelle.  Slightly modified Nascar chassis, tires and wheels out of my assortment. Just because I like the sound of big blocks I decided on a 409. Made up  a set of 180* headers (first time), starting to work on interior sheet metal tomorrow.

Man..the set on this is chev is killer from the start Rett. Chevelles' sure make GREAT short trackers...don't they?  Good job on the 180 headers. What color scheme are you thinking about on this bad boy?

Right now, (Ha) Black and Dark Blue on top. Ha, means that's subject to change!!! LOL Got some interior work done today, routed the exhaust. I've been a little busy lately so do an hour here and an hour there. It's coming tho!!!

Yeah, I've done a few with the nascar frames. Learned that from Ponch I think....As I said before, a little here, a little there, it's coming along. Right now, I'm prepping for Hurricane Irma,,hoping I don't have to evacuate......

:)  Yes, Rett.  With that storm.  Do be careful.  Sounds like another bad one.

At this point, it seems like Irma is going up the east coast of Florida. I live on the west coast, about 6-8 miles straight in from the gulf. We are expecting a lot of wind but not a direct hit (so far). I've taken some precautions that are  needed. If it changes, we will haul butt out of here, up 19 to Indiana probably...Hoping for the best. Gee, I want to finish this Chevelle! LOL

Gary Davis

Do be save Rett. I have a few good friends that reside in or around your area. One in Plant city and the other in Clearwater ( right on the Gulf coast like you).

Finally done with everything underneath. Came out pretty I think. On to body work, paint and lettering. Good thing I had two bodies, I cracked one pretty bad. Haste makes waste! I'll never learn!!!

Gary Davis

Man....that rolling chassis looks GREAT Rett! Looking forward to seeing the body on this bad boy...
