Something different and completely scratch-built. . .my beloved Pontoon Boat. Really pushing my skills on this project and the ladder, motor and top (so far) are all functional. When it's all done and finish painted it'll be pretty cool and certainly one-of-a-kind. I'll still have to craft the trailer for it too.

I appreciate people that actually build and post models.

Where's the fishing rods?  Mighty fine work, but then I wouldn't expect anything less from you.
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

David,

I don't know what to say about this build. I'm not a boat guy, but this build is fantastic.
Looking forward to seeing the finished project.

HOLY Gquac-a-mo-leeee! Now that is some scratch building right there NOW! You sure you didn't use to be one of those HIGH PAID architectural model designers for BIG companies? I'm thinking you might have been and you aren't admitting it. BEAUTIFUL work David. I am a boat guy and I would like to see the engine.........is it an outboard or I/O?

The winters are obviously way too long in Arkansas. Forget the fishing rods, where's the keg in the garbage can full of ice, and the stack of Solo cups. I live on the biggest natural lake in the state of California, I know what belongs on a pontoon boat.
Very nice build, can't wait to see it finished. Oh, and don't forget the trailer, and tricked out tow vehicle, remember winters just around the corner.

David;

The funniest/scariest thing that ever happened to me on a pontoon boat, was on the Fourth of July many years ago. My son, and the twin sons of a close friend were about the same age, about six, or seven, at the time (they're in there thirties now) and we were all aboard the barge watching fireworks being shot out over Clear Lake. We were running late, and were motoring towards the ideal observation area, at a pretty good clip. When a big aerial mine was launched. Everybody ran to the bow to get a good look, and the barge turned into a submarine. People, bbq, coolers, chairs, and all the people except for one of the twins, went into the water. Believe it or not the six year old brought the boat around, and didn't run over anyone. I got a lot more respect for what could happen on a pontoon boat, and the abilities of a six year old as well.
