I'm watching my friend, here, turning a sodden lump into a great looking racecar! Simply amazing!

Thank you Bob. Ya...I had it in the back of me brain that this would kinda be a fairly quick and simple build as it is a curbside. But....Not today. LOL It has been a good challenge to get things straight before anything can be built. In ALL fairness...this kit wasn't made to do what I'm doing to it. But...if one builds it straight from the box (as it was made for...)I don't think there would be to many issues.

Thanks Jim...ya...I thought of doing that also. But....I was also thinking about putting screen on that front nerf.

Thanks ED. I changed the windscreen on this bad boy. I decided not to have any glass. It's got that high rock guard that was used for awhile back then. I'll post a pick of it when the putty is sanded and a little presentable...LOL

Gary, I like your use of brass on this and I can imagine that it makes things easier in some ways for those smooth bends. Do you anneal your brass fist or just use it as it comes? What little I have tempted with brass did not turn out so well as it was too hard and I thought that maybe annealing it would have helped.
Hey David...the brass front and rear nerf bars came in the kit. But...I had to reorder just the nerf bars as they had the tails cut off for the original kit. When I did solder rod like this is...I just cleaned it real good(Acetone works good ) and heated the joint and then laid a small piece of solder on the joint. Hope that helps you David.

Here's a little update...the new hood flare is finished along with the shoulder harness attachment whole in the top of the seat. The headers and pipe are in the final setting also....

Thanks ED...

Here's the first color of paint on shots. I some how missed a few little imperfections at the primer stage that really showed themselves in the Met. Silver stage... Soooo...had to do a little sanding and added more putty for the final fix( I hope). Waiting for the body to dry(washed it) and then I'll reprime the touch up area and then shoot more Met. Silver on it. Then I'll tape off and shoot the Poppy Red. All of the other putty areas did good Here's a few pics of the work that was done.

ALL of the detail painting is finished along with ALL the re-chroming of the Nerf bars and suspension parts. Thanks for looking in folks...
