This is the 1964 Emrich Chevrolet number 1, built by the legend Davey Brown and driven by Toby Tobias.
The car was raced in central Pa. at Williams Grove, Selinsgrove and Susquehanna speedways.
They won a total of 36 feature events in 1964. 12 at Williams Grove, 16 at Selinsgrove out of 22 races, and 5 at Susquehanna speedway.
They also won 3 races at Port Royal speedway, where they only visited several times.

Davey Brown is still active working on race cars and building engines at 82 years old. He works on the number 69K sprint car owned by Don Kreitz Jr. and driven by Lance Dewease. Davey is in the National Sprint car hall of Fame and so is Toby Tobias.

John,

I'm in Florida near Davenport for the winter. I arrived here on November 1st and will probably go home mid to end of April.

If there are any Florida model builders, from the forum, within reasonable driving distance, maybe we can meet up sometime for lunch.

This is a great looking project Bob. Your talent is really shining on this one. That roof looks perfect. Looking forward to the next update.

You can tell this one is going to be something special. I Want to see that engine that's hiding under the hood.

I'm in Springhill, about 90 miles from Davenport. Ya never know, I've been known to take a motorcycle ride like that when the weather is good.....I'll keep it in mind!
